Intimate & Virtual Support Groups

A miscarriage support group through The Miscarriage Doula offers a compassionate, professional, and intimate space to process the grief, trauma, and emotional impact of pregnancy loss. Each group is thoughtfully led by Arden Cartrette, founder of The Miscarriage Doula and a certified bereavement doula, who combines professional expertise with lived experience to create a truly supportive environment.

Each cohort is designed to help you navigate life after loss—including the emotional, physical, and relational changes that are often overlooked or misunderstood. Groups are intentionally small (typically 5–10 participants) to ensure a sense of safety, connection, and individualized support.

When you join a miscarriage support group, you’ll receive:

  • Professional guidance from Arden throughout your group experience

  • Peer support from others who understand what you’re going through

  • A private group chat on WhatsApp for ongoing connection

  • Weekly Zoom meetings for the full session duration you register for

  • Custom handouts and resources tailored to each week’s topic

Whether you’ve experienced an early miscarriage, recurrent losses, or second-trimester loss, this space offers understanding, community, and tools to help you move forward at your own pace.

Take a chance on us and let us assist you in your grief journey

Keep Scrolling for Support Groups 〰️

Support groups from The Miscarriage Doula are unlike any other group you’ve joined because ours are grief-focused, pregnancy loss specific, and intimate. The goal is for you to feel heard, validated, informed, and like you’ve made new friends who just get it.

We pride ourselves on creating safe spaces to share your story and navigate grief while having hands to hold. You can expect judgement-free environments, supportive moderators, resources, and so much more.

Although these spaces can be heavy, they are also filled with validation, care, and the necessary tools to help you cope on an ongoing basis. To date we’ve had over 750 people join support groups and have seen beautiful friendships form from the connections made. We like to think of our groups as the perfect mixture of professional and personable support.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM OUR GROUPS

  • Over the duration of the cohort — you’ll meet each week over zoom to discuss the topic of the week, hold space for grief, and connect with the others in the group.

  • We lead our groups with our hearts and want the entire experience to be personal, casual and professional at the same time. Each week of your cohort, you’ll receive an email from your moderator (Arden or Sarah) with what to expect from the weekly call, information on the topic, and handouts that relate to the topic or what you’re struggling with. We don’t automate anything and always take the time to personalize our emails and correspondence.

  • Your cohort will have a private group chat on WhatsApp and that group chat is yours to keep. That means during the cohort, it’s space to continue connecting and after the cohort is over, you will continue to have that lifeline.

  • Arden (our founder) has curated the ideal lineup for topics surrounding miscarriage, pregnancy loss, grief and trauma. Over the course of your group, you’ll cover all of the main topics so that when the group is over, you have the ground working for coping after pregnancy loss.

  • Arden (our founder) has created 10+ resources that match our curriculum. They are yours to keep and we encourage you share them with your partner, too!
