Join a Support Group
A miscarriage support group through The Miscarriage Doula offers a compassionate, professional, and intimate space to process the grief, trauma, and emotional impact of pregnancy loss. Each group is thoughtfully led by Arden Cartrette, founder of The Miscarriage Doula and a certified bereavement doula, who combines professional expertise with lived experience to create a truly supportive environment.
Each cohort is designed to help you navigate life after loss—including the emotional, physical, and relational changes that are often overlooked or misunderstood. Groups are intentionally small (typically 5–10 participants) to ensure a sense of safety, connection, and individualized support.
When you join a miscarriage support group, you’ll receive:
Professional guidance from Arden throughout your group experience
Peer support from others who understand what you’re going through
A private group chat on WhatsApp for ongoing connection
Weekly Zoom meetings for the full session duration you register for
Custom handouts and resources tailored to each week’s topic
Whether you’ve experienced an early miscarriage, recurrent losses, or second-trimester loss, this space offers understanding, community, and tools to help you move forward at your own pace.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many people are in each support group?
Each group is intentionally kept small to allow for meaningful connection and conversation. Groups typically have 5 to 10 participants, creating a safe, intimate space where everyone feels seen and supported.
What platforms do I need to join a group?
You’ll need access to Zoom for our weekly virtual meetings and WhatsApp for the private group chat. Zoom allows us to gather face-to-face in real time, while WhatsApp gives you a place to connect and share between sessions.
What is your refund policy?
I understand that grief can be unpredictable. If you decide to leave the group before the second group call, you’ll receive a 75% refund. In special circumstances, additional refunds or credits may be considered on a case-by-case basis. My goal is always to be fair and compassionate while maintaining the integrity of the group experience.
What happens during a support group session?
Each week, we focus on one or two specific topics related to life after loss — from coping with triggers to rebuilding trust in your body and navigating relationships. Groups include time for reflection, sharing, and guided discussion, as well as optional handouts or journaling prompts to help you process between sessions.
Are these groups for certain types or stages of loss?
Yes — each support group is designed for a specific experience, such as one loss with no living children, recurrent loss, second-trimester loss, or pregnancy after loss. This ensures that you’re surrounded by others who truly understand what you’re going through.
